It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dianne Joyce Dooley Lee of Fincastle, Virginia, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Tommie Dooley; and her husband Jack "Donnie" Lee. She is survived by: her mother Nell Prater Dooley; her daughters, Pam Downie (Bill) of Fincastle, Chrystal Bean of Roanoke and Teresa Durrer-Lee (Susan) of Roanoke; her grandchildren, Meagan Downie Price, William Christopher Downie and Olivia Reagan Bean; her great grandchild Carter William Ray Price; her sister Ellen Sue Slocum (Richard) of Washington; her nephew Kevin Slocum (Joy); her close friend Johnnie (Melvin Corbett); and her pet Max. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Roanoke Rescue Mission, 402 4th Street, SE, Roanoke, VA 24013; or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
