It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Stone Rodgers of Fieldale, Virginia, born in Henry, Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Stone and Myrtle Joyce Stone; her husband Bob Ray Rodgers; her children, Michael "Mike" Rodgers and Carolyn Adams; and her brothers, Marvin Stone, Wayne Stone, Randolph Stone and Troy Stone.
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Nelson (Leon); her grandchildren, James Robert Adams, John Michael Rodgers (Tasha), Kerri Beth Ludeman (Joe), Brittany Flanagan (Travis), Joshua Rodgers, Katie Poole (Matt), Justin Nelson and Adam Nelson; her nieces, Karen Liebermann, Connie Andrews (John) and Kathy Price; her nephew Tommy Jones; her son-in-law Sam Adams; and her siblings, Lonnie Stone (Nancy), Larry Stone, David Stone (Deborah), Jean Maxey (J. E.) and Myra Barbour (Butch). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 circumstances, the family requests no visitors at their home and a face covering is required and social distancing is to be observed at the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery fund or the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
