He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Elmo Nolen and Vernie Irene Napier Nolen; and his son Nicholas Ryan Marshall. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Denise Marshall Nolen; his daughters, Crystal Star Cooper (Vance) and Alyssa "Nikki" Nolen Bateman (Steven); his siblings, Joan Grogan (Wayne), Cindy Mabe (Gary) and Johnny Nolen (Linda); and his grandchildren, Fiona Cooper, Gwen Cooper and Bryson Bateman.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
