He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Lawson Holt and David Crockett Holt; his wife Demris Wood Holt; and his siblings, Eva Collins, Essie Woods, Irene Rigney, Nellie Holt, Paul Holt and Charles Holt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kay Smith of High Point, NC, Judy Gillespie of Fieldale, VA and Cece Tyndall (Stan) of Martinsville, VA; his grandchildren, Brad Lawrence, Jason Holt, Dawn Spence, Kelly Roberts, Kevin Roberts and Amanda Imdahl; and his siblings, Frances Koger and Junior Holt. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
