He was predeceased by: his parents, James Olen Luther and Lola Myers Luther; his wife Mary Lee Luther; his daughter Donna Kay Luther; and his siblings, James Clinton Luther, Kennard Wayne Luther, Frieda Richardson, Ineda Hart and Nancy Motley.
He is survived by: his sons, Benjamin Odell Luther, Jr. and James Thomas Luther (Lisa); his grandchildren, Adam Luther (Jessica), Emily Earles (Brandon) and Cody Luther; his great grandchildren, Ben Luther and Emma Luther; and his siblings, Homer Luther, Dennis Luther (Faye), Lois Edwards and Janice Wilson (Dewey).
