She was predeceased by: her parents, Walker Hodges and Ada Hodges; and her siblings, Gordon, William Hodges and Barbara Jean Hodges.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Bud D. Nichols; her children, Teresa Blankenship (Tommy), Carl "Sonny" Nichols (Freda) of Thelma Jean, Fischer (Martin), Bud Aaron Nichols (Kristen) and Tina Sullivan (Tom); her grandchildren, Adam Nichols (Tiffany), Amy Nichols, Chrissy Martin, Jean Victoria Fischer (Peter Moreau), Lynn Aaron Nichols, Ashley Wiegand (Brandon), Mackenzie Sullivan and Amber Leigh Nichols; her great grandchildren, Julian Nichols, Amelia "Mia" Wiegand, Brentley Wiegand, Ali Nichols, Gwendolyn Fischer Moreau, Bridger Nichols, Liam Martin and Wesley Fischer Moreau; her stepgrandchildren, JC, Annelise and Celeste James; and her siblings, Marshall Hodges (Judy), Betty Hayes and Rose Mary Williams.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center (665 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Evangelistic House (785 Rambling Rose Rd, Ferrum, VA 24088). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at the same location.
