She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Saunders and Nannie Matt Gibson Saunders; her husband Hydress McDaniel; her child Robin Inez McDaniel Wade; and her siblings, John, Joe, Charles, Edward, William Saunders, Rosie James, Bertha Wade, Irene Poindexter, Alice Adkins and Virginia Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Dinah McDaniel and Hydress McDaniel (Denise) of Killeen, Texas; her grandchildren, Nacina McDaniel of Ferrum, VA, Shanta Ferguson of Lynchburg, VA and Roger Wade Jr. (Brittany); her sister Shirley Jackson; her sisters-in-law, Mary McDaniel of Washington, D. C, Trenda Conner (Curtis) of Wilmington, DE, Peggy Fenwick (William) of Floyd, VA and Lera Saunders of Alexander, VA; her close friends, Joseph Menefee (Joe) and Gwen Cummings; her great grandchildren, Prince and Zayla; her caregivers, Ashley Honeywell and Judy Sledd; and also Darrell Huddleston. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
