He is survived by: his son David Hammond (Stacy); his grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan and Megan; and his wife Joyce. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; five siblings; and sixteen nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of John may be made to the American Cancer Society.
