She was predeceased by: her parents, Grayson Warren Lewis and Hilda Virginia Lewis; her husband Albert Jacob Hanks, Jr.; her son Dandridge Albert "Danny" Hanks; her grandchildren, Mitchell Wade McGeorge, Brad McGeorge and Kendall Ashton; and her siblings, Grayson Warren Lewis, Jr and Edna "Katy" Lewis Bush.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Hanks McGeorge (Howard) and Linda Hanks Ashton (Steve); her grandchildren, Mandy Brann McGeorge, Drew McGeorge (Lynsie), Kyle Ashton, Lexi Hanks, Tori Hanks, Aaron McGeorge, Taylor McGeorge, Landon McGeorge and Chloe McGeorge; her sisters, Dorothy Lewis Abbott (Randolph) and Olive Jeane Thrift; her cousin Violet Bartlett; and her close friend Shirley C. Barrack. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
