He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Dodson and Ethel Dodson. He is survived by: his wife Joyce "Dinky" Dodson; his daughter Sandra Haywood (Jeffrey); his granddaughter Rachel Haywood; and his siblings, Melvin Headley, John Dodson (Polly) and Mary "Sweetie" Linthicum.
