He was predeceased by: his grandmother S. Blottner (Scott); and his brother Dr. Frederick G. Blottner. He is survived by: his children, Gwynn Blottner (West), Paul W. Blottner of Scranton, Pennsylvania and Mary G. McCarthy (Blottner); his son-in-law James F. McCarthy of Middleburg Heights, Ohio; his son Mark E. Blottner of Chicago, Illinois; his grandsons, Sean McCarthy, Colin and Brendan McCarthy; his sister-in-law Myra Blottner; his nieces, Laura Christine Elliott, Cheryl Ann Papiernik and Emily Scott; and his nephew William Scott.
