It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Wilson Johnston of Farmville, Virginia, born in Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan Wilson and Mamie Wilson. She is survived by: her daughters, Tana Johnston and Dene Johnston (Chris Michalski); her granddaughters, Eve Sotomayor and Olivia Povloski (John); her great grandchild Claire; her sister Louise Wall; and her niece Terri Hardin.
After retirement, Virginia was a very active member of Remnant Church of Farmville; she was a volunteer with Farmville Hospice and served as the board secretary of the Farmville Free Clinic where she was also the coordinator of lunch donations.
