Shirley Mae Monroe Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Mae Monroe of Farmville, Virginia, who passed away on February 21, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norval "Bub" Fields and Emma Ruth Fields; her husband William E. Monroe; and her brother Norval "Leon" Fields (Shirley) of Ranson, WV. She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Viands of Farmville; her grandsons, Bryan Cottrell (Susan) of Farmville, Junior Cottrell (Anne) of Cullen and Timothy Cottrell of Farmville; and her sisters, Mary Helen Frye (Jerry) of Winchester, VA and Mildred "Diane" Pifer of Ranson, WV. She is also survived by seven great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local Meherrin SPCA.
