She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Carmichael and Sophie Carmichael. She is survived by: her children, Wallace Edwin Emerson, Jr. of Grapeland, Texas and Sharon Emerson-Stonnell (David) of Prospect, Virginia; her grandson Brandon Emerson (Alice) of Oreland, Pennsylvania; and her great grandchildren, Connor and Jane.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Prince Edward Rescue Squad.
