He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayo Reed Spencer, Sr. and Virginia Frances Reid Spencer; his brothers, David and Joseph Spencer; and his wife Rosa Lee Spencer.
He is survived by: his children, David Walker, Mayo Spencer, III of Charlottesville, Troy Spencer and Sondra Gamble of Keysville; his siblings, William Spencer of Virginia Beach, Rev. James Spencer (Dovene) of Darlington Heights, Charles Spencer, Dorothy Vails of Richmond, Virginia Spencer and Ann Spencer of Richmond; and his uncles, Henry Reid (Jeri), Charles Hall (Betty) of Richmond, Joseph Hall (Dorothy) and James Hall (Carrie) of Newark, NJ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
