With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Pennington Guthrie of Farmville, Virginia, born in Marion, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Drs; her husbands, Jim Savedge and Derwood Guthrie; and her sister Nancy Pennington Holt. She is survived by: her children, Anne Savedge Mayes (Michael), Sarah Guthrie Letterman (Steven), Cyndia Guthrie St. Claire (Bill) and Craig Anderson Guthrie; her grandchildren, Nicholas Mayes, Chappell Mayes, Ethan Letterman and Emma Letterman; and her siblings, Martha Pennington Louis (Paul) and John Pennington (Kathy).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Puckett Funeral Home (115 Covington Ct, Farmville, VA 23901). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Maysville Presbyterian Church.
