She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Poindexter and Lucy McDaniel Poindexter. She is survived by: her husband Arthur Foster; her son Sirron Foster (Jo); her grandsons, Kristian Foster (Michelle) and Ka-Lyn Jordan; her sister Grace Forrest (Lloyd); her sisters-in-law, Margaret Evans, Edith Foster and Dorothy Brooks; her goddaughters, Teresa Evans and Robyn Clements; and her siblings, Mary Mariner and Warren Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
