He is survived by: his wife Mary Newman Elder; his children, Pamela Pietrzak (John) of Virginia Beach, James Elder (Darrell) of Powhatan and Michele Morris of Powhatan, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Nicholas Pietrzak, Tristan Pietrzak (Diana), Morgan Day (Rick), Max Pietrzak, James Elder, Jr., Sam Bradbury and Sierra Elder; and his great grandchildren, Richard, Benjamin Day, Noah Pietrzak, Vincent Day, Miles Pietrzak and Camilla Day.
