She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wesley Shirlen and Eva Shirlen; her husband Arthur Shumaker; her sons, Dennis Shumaker (Kimberly) of Atlanta, GA, Mike Shumaker (Kim) of Prospect, VA and Dale Shumaker of Stafford, VA; her grandchildren, Drake Shumaker, Debra Sue Maros (David), Darrell Shumaker (Anne Harrison Beck) and Brock Shumaker; her great grandchild Connor Shumaker; and her siblings, Homer Shirlen (Mildred), Leonard Shirlen (Mary), Jimmy Shirlen (Billie), Ruby Hall (Ron) and Christine Smith (Larry). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church, Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad, or Farmville Fire Department.
