He was predeceased by: his father Eldon Gardner; and his brother Dorsey Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Jane Utt Gardner; his children, Holli Mayberry (Scott), Tony Gardner (Lesia) and Greg Gardner; his grandchildren, Nicole McAfee (Jonathan), Ashli Angle, Thane Mayberry and Ezra Mayberry; his great grandchildren, Eli Angle and Benjamin McAfee; and his brothers, Leonard Gardner (Peggy), Ed Gardner (Judy) and Ronnie Gardner (Janice). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
