With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Michael Akers of Fancy Gap, Virginia, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 28, 2024 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Raymond and Rosa Lee Catron Akers; and his brother Tony Randall Akers. He is survived by: his wife Lori Ann Hall Akers; his son Christopher Stephen Akers; his fiancée Anna Marie Price of Christiansburg; his daughter Jennifer (Chris Padgett); and his grandchildren, Andrew Brady, Allison Johnson and Jacob Padgett.
