With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Allen Staples of Fancy Gap, Virginia, who passed away on August 31, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harold Hall and Alease Pritchett Hall; her husband Charles E. Staples of Lynchburg; her grandson Jamey Osborne; her son-in-law Donald Foster of Fancy Gap; and her siblings, Lorena Hall McCann, Billy Hall of Charlottesville and Donald Hall of Charlottesville.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry of Fancy Gap and Geoff; her daughter-in-law Lori Staples; her grandchildren, Ellie Staples Yarborough (Matthew) and Matthew Staples (Emily) of Newport News; her siblings, Nancy Brown (Walter), Becky Reeseman (Alan), Sandy Wood (Ron), Patty Murphy (Aaron), Ellen Hall Motley (George) and Jerry Hall (Bonnie); her nieces, Jean Kindrick, Becky Gibson, Patricia Lutz and Stacy Moffit; and her sons, David McCoy, James Anderson and Larry Chabot. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
