He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Reaves Barr and Lila Mae Bond Barr; and his sister Janet Barr Quesenberry. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patsy" Easter Barr; his daughters, Vanessa Lynn Barr Smith (Jonathan) and Kimberly Ann Barr Kern (Matthew); his grandchildren, Jasmine Marie Smith, Alexis Grace Smith, Elijah James Smith and Owen Ezekiel Kern; and his sisters, Joan Vass (Lester), Julia Cole (Terry) and Ellen Holcomb (Bob).
Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), the funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating.
