We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2023, at the age of 87, Paula Consuelo Lyles of Falls Church, Virginia, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Lamah Gaskins and Mary Jane Richards Gaskins; her husband Donald Leslie Lyles; her stepson Ronald Leslie Lyles; her close friends, Joanie Lucas, Mary L. White Perkins and Barbara Haskell; and her brother Leonard.
She is survived by: her daughter Carla Roxann Lyles; her close friends, Jane Gaskill, Thelma Byrd, Anita Butler and Joyce Hughes; her sister Claudia G. Russell (Dennis); her sister-in-law Louise Cutchin Gaskins; her brother Robert "Bob" Gaskins (Syb); her granddaughter Tia Newsome; her nieces and nephews, Tanya, Pamela, Donna, Terry and Eric; her godchildren, Paula Fielder (Candy) and Barry Russell; her stepgrandchildren, LaChelle Lyles, Jason Lyles (Kanoa) and Lorelle Lyles; her great grandchildren, Jordan, Malia, Brandon, Dylan, Kieryn and Josiah; and her great great grandchildren, Jordan Jr., Jeremiah and Milani. She is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
Paula lived at the home place after retiring until she became ill with Alzheimer's and then moved to Sunrise Senior Assisted-Living in Falls Church to be close to her family and her church.
