Though Lorraine Caruthers may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lorraine Caruthers touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Preston and Leila Caruthers (Nye); her husband George A. Snell; and her brother Preston Caruthers. She is survived by: her daughters, Rev. Georgia Ann Snell of Nantucket, MA, Lynda Vickers-Smith of Richmond, VA, Nancy E. Snell of Arlington, VA, Kathryn S. Harkness (Steve) of Alexandria, VA and Carolyn S. Fossen (Merle) of Falls Church, VA.. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
