With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Farrell of Falls Church, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on May 18, 2023 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James R. Farrell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Plowden Farrell and India Grace Oliff; his wives, Grace Nichols Farrell and Mattie Caton Farrell; his brother Lee Roy Farrell; his son Tommy Lee Farrell; and his grandsons, John Roy Farrell Jr. and Daniel Bryan Farrell.

He is survived by: his children, John Roy Farrell (Donna), James Robert Farrell Jr. (Nancy) and Margaret Grace Stokley (Robert). He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Boys Town.
