He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernell Frances Butler and Abner Galt Burton; and his siblings, Thomas, Raymond, Arthur, George, Alice and Virginia.
He is survived by: his nephews, George Jr. and Samuel; his niece Virginia (Jenni); his wife Irene Zevgolis Burton; his brother Wortha J. Burton; his children, Bryan Franklin Burton (Jolanda Burton) and Joan Antoinette Manno (Frank Manno); his grandchildren, Nia, Andrew (Kaye), Anthony and Nicholas; and his great grandchildren, Everett, Damian, Larisa, Hayes and Finley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to St Katherines' Greek Orthodox Church at Glen Carlyn and Fifth Road South, Falls Church, VA.
