She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anne Brient and Theodore Brient; her husband Richard Shelton; and her siblings, Kurt Brient (Criss) and Sara Kaufmann (Bruce). She was also cherished by many brothers and sister's in-law, nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in her name to The American Cancer Society or The American Lung Association.
