He was predeceased by: his parents, James McDaniel and Mary Sue McDaniel. He is survived by: his wife Frances Phillips McDaniel; his children, William D. "Willie" McDaniel, Jr. of Radford and Carol Sue Smith of Texas; and his grandchildren, Shane McDaniel of Radford and Karen Benfield of Texas. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, step children, and step grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
