He was predeceased by: his parents, Early Mitchell and Allie Mae Mitchell; his wife Betty Sue Mitchell; his daughter Teresa Lynn Mitchell (Carla Mitchell); and his brothers, Gene Mitchell, Cooper Mitchell, Everett Mitchell and Jonas Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Roxanna (Lou Brown), Debbie (Marcus Bryan), Bobby (Leona Mitchell) and Jimmy (Rhonda Mitchell); and his sisters, Bonnie Cox and Margaret Mills. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
