She was predeceased by: her parents, Harmon Banard Shelor and Beulah Harman Shelor; her husband Howard Welden Hylton; and her siblings, Hazel Shelor Nester and Thomas Shelor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patrica Boone of Roanoke and Robin Crews of Ashburn; and her grandsons, Todd Boone and Cale Boone. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church (6900 Pulaski Ave, Fairlawn, VA 24141). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (5555 Lee Hwy, Dublin, VA 24084).
