With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Edith Goad (Fairlawn, Virginia), who passed away on January 15, 2018 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lyons and Beulah Lyons; her husband Lawrence Goad, Sr.; her daughters, Mary Sue Goad and Della Poff; and her sisters, Josephine Jones and Dorothy Saul.
She is survived by: her daughter Nina Jr. of Pearisburg; her children-in-law, Howard Nepstad, Jr. of Pearisburg, Lawrence Goad Jr. and John Poff, Sr. of Pearisburg; her brother Charles Lyons of Dublin; her sister-in-law Joyce Lyons of Dublin; her sister Loretta Langhorn of Christiansburg; her brother-in-law Wiley Goad of Parrott; and also, Carolyn Goad of Hazel, KY and Roger Goad of Dublin. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Parrott United Methodist Church.
