He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Aker and Belle Aker; and his siblings, Bob, Jack Aker and Charlotte Weaver.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Aker; his sons, Chris and Jeffrey Aker; and his grandchildren, Tyler Aker and Isabella Aker. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
