It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yang Sook Kwon of Fairfax, Virginia, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Young Joon Kim and Heung Sook Yoon. She is survived by: her former husband Soon Chan Kwon; her siblings, Kong Sook (Chong Min Won), Wan Joo Kim (Jung In) and Min Ae (Ho Lee); her sons, Lawrence (Julie) and Edward (Monica); her brother Yong; her grandchildren, Lucas, Ella, Eli, Marcus and Noah Kwon; her nieces and nephews, Sandra Won, Jean (Won Kim), Soo Hyun Kim, Jae Young (Kevin Lee), Chu Sung Lee (Jung Yoon) and Jung Wook Kim (Sun Wook); and her great-nephews, Ethan, Benjamin, Joshua, Caleb and Doo Won.
A memorial fund in Yang's honor to support the causes she loved most will be established at a later date.
