He is survived by: his daughter Nguyễn Hồng Uyên Vivian; his sister-in-law Nguyễn Ngọc Diệp; and his siblings, Nguyễn Thị Vân Khanh, Nguyễn Viết Cường, Nguyễn Thị Kim Thanh, Nguyễn Thị Nguyệt Thu, Nguyễn Tiến Dũng, Nguyễn Thị Nguyệt Nga, Nguyễn Tiến Đức and Nguyễn Tiến Long. He is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
