He was predeceased by: his mother Alice; and his brothers, Robert Terrell and Charles Turner. He is survived by: his close friend Elizabeth Ann Josey; his wife Elizabeth Ann Josey Terrell; his children, Thomas R. Terrell (Lori) of Callao, VA and Lynn Terrell Hunter (Eric) of Centreville, VA; his grandchildren, Ashley Costello (Michael), Thomas Terrell Jr. (Olivia), Katherine "Katie" Elizabeth Hunter and John Edward Hunter; his great grandchild Thomas Robert Terrell III (Tripp); and his nieces, Kathy Bognovitz and Patty Floyd.
