She was predeceased by: her father Josef Fleck; her brother Ferdinand Fleck; and her former husband Stefan Matlaga. She is survived by: her husband Daniel Palenski; her children, Terry Matlaga (Bell) and Karen Matlaga (McDade); and her grandsons, Matthew, Kevin and Stephen Bell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Theresa to Epiphany of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, 3410 Woodburn Road, Annandale, Virginia 22003.
