It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melva Sharpe of Fairfax, Virginia, born in McLean, Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Shoemaker and Bessie Shoemaker (Seaton); her husband Glenn N. Sharpe; her brother Francis Shoemaker; and her sisters-in-law, Ann and Mary Shoemaker.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael (Karen) and Gary (Kim); and her siblings, Elmer and Helen Hughes (Sanford).
