She was predeceased by: her brother John Lavery. She is survived by: her daughter Megan Massar (Brett); her stepson John Newman (Eugenia); her stepgrandsons, Aaron and Austin Newman; her brothers, Herbert Lavery (Christina) and Robert Lavery; her nieces and nephews, Bryan Lavery, Jenna McDermott (Kevin), Kristin Loreaux (Dan) and Samuel Lavery (Christine); and also Holly Kaniewski.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Walk to End Alzheimer's. Marilyn's family would like to invite interested parties to join them at the Washington D.C. Walk to End Alzheimer's on September 28, 2024, on the National Mall.
