The passing of Kathleen Mary Hurley (Fairfax, Virginia) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 31, 2025 at the age of 67. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilma Elizabeth Hurley (Hedlund) and John "Jack" Francis Hurley; and her brother-in-law George (Anne). She is survived by: her siblings, John (Ana Maria), Susan, Michael (Yati), Anne, Brendan (Atsuko) and Patrick (Liz); her nieces and nephews, Carolina (John), Benjamin (Natalie), Nicholas, John F. II, Abigail, Jacob, Kyra, Diamond, Sonya and Matthew; and her great-nephew George.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home (9902 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (905 Park Ave, Falls Church, VA 22046).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Capt. George L. Sisson Memorial 5K (https://www.gofundme.com), benefiting the Firefighter Cancer Support Network, a cause Kathleen was proud to support as a sister and former volunteer firefighter herself.

“I remember when I was 10 , and the day Kathleen arrived to Pinewood. St. I was in awe that she was so beautiful., porcelain skin and dark curls. Several days later I ran to tell her mom that she was smiling. It followed that she alway seemed happy and curious.I loved her then and despite all the years that have passed my heart still loves her.. I’m guessing it is His love from above..May God hold her family’s hearts in His hands as they celebrate her life.”
