She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Jenkins and Recie Lucille Jenkins; her husband Milton Goins; and her siblings, Curtis Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Derrick Jenkins, Bessie Blair and Vickie Jenkins.

She is survived by: her sons, Devin Milton (Monica), Christopher Colbert and Recie Renee (Melvin); her grandchildren, Kory, Riley and Olivia; her great grandchild Jacob; her sisters, Juliette Smith and Addie Colburn (William); and her aunt Mary Nichols. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

During the pandemic, Johnnie gave signing lessons to her youngest granddaughter, Olivia twice a week on Zoom.
