Joan Maguire Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Maguire of Fairfax, Virginia, born in Arlington, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Francis Maguire; her parents, Ave Quirk and John Quirk; and her brother James of Wheeling. She is survived by: her children, Maureen Anne, Virginia, Mary Eileen (Gene), Marie, Raymond John (Lori), Gerard Joseph (Namrata) and Daniel Matthew (Rebecca); and her siblings, Jack (Anne), Virginia, Bernadette (John) and Arlington Virginia. She is also survived by three nieces, three nephews, and thirteen grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home (9902 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church (3700 Old Lee Hwy, Fairfax, VA 22030). Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at 10824 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fairfax Memorial Park (4401 Burke Station Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Little Sisters of the Poor.
