Edward Ignatius Reinsel Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Edward Ignatius Reinsel of Fairfax, Virginia, whose life came to an end on December 28, 2024 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Susanna Reinsel and Robert Reinsel; and his sisters, Mary Susanne Miller and Margaret Allison. He is survived by: his wife Edith Marie (Bauer); his brother Robert; his children, Ann Powell (Donna Reinsel), Susan Farrer (Michael Reinsel), Edward Reinsel (Thomas Reinsel) and Rita Soulen (Carolynn Reinsel); and his grandchildren, Abigail, Benjamin, Caleb, Charles, Daniel, Edward (Max), Eliot, Grace, Hannah, Isaac, Jonathan (Jack), Katy, Leila, Madeline, Nicholas, Noah, Sam and Zach. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, his six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home (9902 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of Sorrows Catholic Church (10500 Zion Dr, Fairfax, VA 22032). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Mary of Sorrows Historic Church Cemetery (11098 Fairfax Station Rd, Fairfax Station, VA 22039).
