He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arnold Ashby and Estelle Ashby; his wife Geraldine B. Walsh; his daughters, Del and Dunhill; his close friend Rayner; his daughter Cheryl Ashby; and his brothers, Chuck Ashby, Kenny Ashby and Jerry Ashby. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
