She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Johnson and Jerome Johnson; her husband Robert Taylor Carter; her sons, Randolph Carter and Robert Carter; her siblings, Berthena Gaskins, Ardrick Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Elliott Johnson, Ethel Marshall, Peyton Johnson, William Johnson and Landonia Johnson; and her grandsons, Robert Lambert, Leroy Lambert, Antione Lambert and Randy Dixon.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Hunt of Woodbridge, Katherine Clay (Freeman) of Sterling, Larry N. Carter of Fredericksburg and Arthur Carter of Manassas, Virgina; her sister Florence Garnett; and her grandchildren, Catrina Gingrich (Joseph), John Jackson (Jermell), Cheyenne Davis, Denisha Scott, Direeka Wheeler, Robert Wheeler (Kathleen), Linda Wheeler, Joseph Wheeler (Jen) and Latricia Woodson. She is also survived by 36 great grandchildren, 36 great-great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
