Irene M. Wright Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene M. Wright (Fairfax Station, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 28, 2025 at the age of 93. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Irene had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Irene may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Brula and Justina Brula (Terlep); and her great grandchild Benjamin. She is survived by: her daughter Susan Anthony (David); and her grandsons, Gordon (Katharine), John (Alexandra) and Peter Anthony (Neka).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of Sorrows Historic Catholic Church (11098 Fairfax Station Rd, Fairfax Station, VA 22039). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fairfax Memorial Park (9900 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032).
