It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Erwin of Exmore, Virginia, born in Clifton Forge, Virginia, who passed away on June 17, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Erwin, Sr.; her parents, Ira Jerome Payne, Jr. and Elizabeth Snidow Payne; her children, Laura Erwin Toms and Steven L. Erwin, Sr.; and her great grandchild Carolynne Sue Simmons.
She is survived by: her son Robert W. Erwin, Jr. (Norma) of Cheriton, VA; her siblings, Katherine Young of Richmond, Ella Pelletier of Durham, NC and Ira Jerome Payne III of New Castle, VA; her grandchildren, Devin Simmons (Ricky) of Covington, VA, Steven Erwin, Jr. of Hanover, VA, Dillon Erwin of Hanover, VA, Joshua Toms of Mechanicsville, VA, Benjamin Toms-Lucy of Mechanicsville, VA, Andrew Toms-Lucy of Mechanicsville, VA, Christian Toms-Lucy of Mechanicsville, VA, Jonathan Toms-Lucy of Mechanicsville, VA, Bethany Toms-Lucy of Mechanicsville, VA, Nathaniel Toms-Lucy of Mechanicsville, VA and Caleb Toms of Mechanicsville, VA; and her great grandchildren, Camden Lee William Simmons and Courtney Renee Simmons.
