She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernie Lee Sturgis and Georgie Smullin Peppler; and her siblings, B. Wayne Sturgis and Shirley Ann Smith. She is survived by: her sons, John Spence (Susan Kellam) and W. Shawn Spence (Heather); and her grandchildren, Jillian Grace Spence and Porter Jackson Spence. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
