It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Kellam (Exmore, Virginia), born in Chestertown, Maryland, who passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Lucius F. Kellam; her parents, Terry J. Higbee and Rebecca Eder Higbee; her grandson Nathan Joshua Landon; and her half-brother John C. Higbee.
She is survived by: her daughter Jeannie Kellam Landon (Stevan) of Raeford, NC; her granddaughters, Ruth Ann Fossier and Raven Landon; her great grandchildren, Emma Grace Kellam, Ryder Hurley, Sayler Hurley, Mila Hurley, Jolene Figueroa and Lucie Fossier; her brother Ira Higbee (Rita) of Painter, VA; and her close friend Nanette Crumb Newell (Luis) of Tucson, AZ.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Doughty Funeral Home (3117 Main St, Exmore, VA 23350). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 at the Belle Haven Cemetery.
