She was predeceased by: her father Ike Daniels; her son Joe Franklin Ayers; her former husband Franklin Ayers; her grandson Devin Wayne Ayers; and her great grandchild Raelynn Elizabeth Maples.
She is survived by: her husband James Carter; her daughters, Angela Lea Parker of New Tazewell, TN and Tracy Geneva Taylor of Ewing, VA; her grandchildren, Michael Parker, Kayla Brooks, Sharleen Maples, Melissa Baumgardner and Ryan Ayers; and her sisters, Christine McGeorge, Dottie Burns, Bertie Bussell and Barbara Hatfield. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
